The S03X7Ca-72M forms a barrier layer at the iron tip surface, which inhibits erosion of the tip. S03X7Ca-72M significantly reduces wear of iron tips compared to regular lead-free solder.
The standard lead-free solder, S3X-72M, and other 72M series products contain new activators for improved wettability and new resin composition for better flux coverage. They help prevent bridging, even in defect prone conditions such as low iron tip temperatures or fast sliding speed.

S01X7Ca-72M (0.1% Ag) and S03X7Ca-72M (0.3% Ag) form an IMG layer of Sn/Fe/Co between the solder and the iron tip. This inhibits tip erosion and greatly extends tip life.
Reliability, strength and thermal resistance
S1XBIG-72M, with very small amounts of Bi and Ni and low Ag content, helps achieve more reliable solder joints. Also offers superior melting, thermal fatigue resistance and stable crystal structure over time.
Superior strength and reliability for extreme conditions
SB6N-72M, with 6% Indium, improves strength and forms reliable solder joints. Ideal for extreme service conditions experienced typically in automotive electronics, aviation and industrial applications.

Koki S3X-60NH, despite being halogen free, delivers excellent wetting performance and workability. Excellent anti-spatter performance.
- S3X-60NH quickly reacts to oxide films and spreads smoothly. The product removes stubborn oxide films even from brass and nickel at once, as well as from copper.
- While conventional halogen-free products tend to show poor wettability, S3X-60NH swiftly spreads to the whole pad surface and forms fine solder fillets.
